Roland SRM-20 Desktop Milling Machine:
monoFab is a series of new desktop tools that brings together the fun of imagination and the joy of manufacturing in order to satisfy users who want to bring their dreams and ideas to life with greater freedom. With the SRM-20 3D milling machine, which cuts away unnecessary material, ideas can be turned into 3D objects with a high degree of precision.
Working models ensure that prototypes can be produced, including verification of user-friendliness, confirmation of fit, structural analysis and mechanical checks, etc.
The SRM-20 is Roland’s latest generation desktop milling machine for the office, studio and educational environment. Since pioneering desktop milling in 1986, Roland has continued to perfect our expertise in delivering accuracy and efficiency in a compact format. The SRM-20 incorporates innovative features, including a new spindle, collet, circuit boards and control software. The result is a leap forward in milling precision, speed and ease of use. The SRM-20 can mill a variety of non-proprietary materials typically used for prototyping, including chemical wood, acrylic and modeling wax. Optional collets are also available to extend the mill’s capability with a wide range of end mill shapes and sizes, ideal for creating beautiful finishes and intricate details.
Cuttable material : Resins such as chemical wood and modeling wax (metal not supported), substrates for machining.
2) Designed for clean and secure use in your office or classroom :
The SRM-20 includes an interlocked full cover and a dust-collection
tray to keep your environment clean and clear of waste material. For
increased safety, opening the cover automatically stops the machine.2) Designed for clean and secure use in your office or classroom :
3) Simple operation for optimum results :
Designed for ease of use, the SRM-20 supports Roland's unique "VPanel",
an on-screen operation panel for the computer. By using the
speed-controlled 4-way cursor movement, the origin point can be set
quickly and accurately. Spindle RPM and milling speed can be altered
during milling, allowing full control over the results and milling time.
4) SRP Player for SRM-20 :
SRP Player CAM software features simple step-by-step settings for easy
operation and high quality milling. You can easily add supports when
doing double-sided cutting and preview your job on-screen to confirm the
cutting path.
5) MODELA Player 4 :
MODELA Player 4 is a CAM software that automatically calculates and
displays the cutting tool path from 3D data created in commercial 3D CAD
software or downloaded from the Internet.
6) iModela Creator Design Software :
iModela Creator is a 2D milling software for procesing 2D data such as
text and graphics, allowing users to create and mill shapes, holes and
patterns. Intuitive menus and icons make design and production easy,
even for beginners. Once the milling material is loaded, the SRM-20
produces the design in precise detail.
7) ClickMILL Simple Milling Solution :
ClickMILL provides the user with direct control of the machine without
the need to access CAD or CAM software when drilling holes, cutting
pockets or surfacing and other finishing processes.
